SARugbymag.co.za readers had their say and voted Damian Willemse as the standout Springbok on Saturday after a game-winning shift against Wales.

In a poll run after the final whistle, 46% decided that the utility back had the most telling influence for the men in green and gold, ahead of Man of the Match Jasper Wiese (22%) and fellow playmaker Willie le Roux (8%).

Willemse, who impressively shifted from fullback to flyhalf in the second half, slotted the match-winning penalty as the Boks kicked off the 2022 season with a dramatic 32-29 victory over Wales at Loftus Versfeld.
