The victorious Stormers squad presented the Vodacom United Rugby Championship trophy to their loyal supporters in Cape Town on Friday.
Stormers captain Steven Kitshoff and coach John Dobson addressed the crowd outside City Hall before the players began an open-top bus tour of the CBD.
A passionate Dobson said: “We live and play for the greatest city in the world, and we will reflect that over the next few years. No matter what happens in corporate deals or whatever, we belong entirely to die mense [the people] of Cape Town.
“Our job is to make you smile and make you proud of us.”

Kitshoff added: “This is not the Stormers, it’s the team of Cape Town, the team that represents everyone standing here and in the city – the greatest city on the f–king planet!
“Dobbo says you guys are saying thank you to us for bringing the trophy to Cape Town – on behalf the Stormers and this team I have the privilege of leading, I say thank you for supporting us.”
