A fully transcribed spidercam video of the closing minutes of the Test between the Wallabies and All Blacks shows referee Mathieu Raynal was correct to penalise Bernard Foley for time-wasting.
The home team was on the verge of a stunning come-from-behind win, leading 37-34 in the final minute in Melbourne on Thursday when Foley was penalised.

Raynal reversed a penalty awarded to the Australians in the remaining seconds for time-wasting as Foley – in his first game for three years – delayed his kick, believing the clock was off.
The All Blacks were instead awarded a scrum five metres out, and Jordie Barrett crossed in the corner for a sensational 39-37 win.
Raynal’s decision left Foley baffled and coach Dave Rennie fuming after the match, but spidercam footage posted on social media shows the French referee giving more than enough warnings before blowing the Wallabies up.
