The video of a man in Stormers kit dancing at a Vodacom United Rugby Championship game is one of rugby’s most-watched clips.
Wiaan Laing’s performance during the URC match between the Stormers and Leinster at Cape Town Stadium in April has amassed 20 million views across multiple TikTok accounts.
His performance was part of the half-time entertainment, as he danced alongside cheerleaders in tune to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’.
The muscular Laing, a professional dancer and actor from Stellenbosch, had many spectators fooled that he was actually one of the Stormers players showing off his slick moves.

By having the prop moonlight as a cheerleader, the Stormers have managed to effect some significant budget cuts. #rugby #stormers #dancer #cheerleader #unexpected #agility pic.twitter.com/OwKfl2cM4Z
