A strange incident took place in the closing stages of the French Top 14 match between Biarritz and La Rochelle, where there were two balls on the field and both teams thought they had won.
Schrodinger would have had a field day with this one! ?

With the clock in the red and La Rochelle leading 24-20, Biarritz had a lineout five metres from the tryline.
However, an extra rugby ball was thrown in from the crowd and La Rochelle scrumhalf Tawera Kerr-Barlow mistakenly thought it was the match ball, kicking it out. Meanwhile, Biarritz hooker Francois da Ros forced his way over the tryline for what he thought was the winning try.
After a consultation between the referee and TMO, the decision was made to award Biarritz with a scrum. It was from this scrum that Biarritz scored the actual winning try, through loose forward Josh Tyrell.
The victory kept Biarittz above bottom-placed Toulon, who have three games in hand.
