The Wallabies have closed in on the second-placed Springboks in the IRB rankings following their 24-23 win in Perth.

Australia's ranking points increased from 87.19 to 88.10, while the Boks' decreased from 89.34 to 88.42.

The Boks, though, remain in second position with a slender 0.32 points lead.

The All Blacks' 28-9 win in Napier didn't have any impact on the rankings, because the Pumas are ranked so low.
