Bath head coach Johann van Graan has roped in a seasoned campaigner with ties to South Africa as injury cover for the start of the 2022-23 season.
Veteran lock Quinn Roux links up with the English Premiership club after Charlie Ewels was confirmed to have severely injured his knee while on international duty with England.
Born in South Africa, Roux won the 2012 Vodacom Cup with Western Province and earned Super Rugby caps for the Stormers before switching to Leinster for two seasons.
His time in Dublin began a seven-year stint in Irish rugby mostly spent in Galway at Connacht, where he made over 100 provincial appearances and was capped 16 times for Ireland.

The 31-year-old moved to Toulon in 2021 and featured 14 times for the Top 14 outfit in his debut campaign.
“Quinn is a class lineout operator who offers great physicality to our options in the second row,” Van Graan said.
“He is an established international with strong rugby experience and we are delighted to have someone of his pedigree on board.”
Van Graan last week acquired the services of former Worcester Warriors utility forward GJ van Velze and Cheetahs tighthead prop Aranos Coetzee in preparation for his first season at the club.
