The red-hot Stormers have front-runners Leinster in their sights ahead of Saturday’s exciting top-of-the-table clash in Cape Town.
The Capetonians marched into second place in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship after a 32-7 bonus-point victory over Glasgow Warriors.
Meanwhile, the Sharks moved into fourth following a hard-fought 28-23 win over Leinster, strengthening the Durbanites’ playoff hopes ahead of Saturday’s clash with Connacht.
The Vodacom Bulls remained eighth on the URC log after outplaying Benetton 46-29 Loftus Versfeld, and will host Glasgow on Friday.
The Lions were the only South African team to lose at the weekend, a narrow 33-30 defeat by Connacht ending a four-game unbeaten run at Ellis Park, and will hope to bounce back against Benetton.
