The Round 6 Vodacom United Rugby Championship fixtures involving Glasgow, Ulster, Sharks and Lions have been postponed.
“Due to gastroenteritis infections it is not possible for Ulster or Glasgow Warriors to field full playing squads,” said an official URC press release on Friday.
“In order to ensure a duty of care towards the players involved and given the medical advice received from all key stakeholders, the Vodacom URC has made the decision to postpone the fixtures.”
“Unfortunately, the Glasgow team has tested positive for E.coli,” said a communication from the Lions.
The URC organisers have confirmed they will examine potential dates to reschedule the two matches.
