SARugbymag.co.za readers had their say and voted Kurt-Lee Arendse as the man to replace Cheslin Kolbe in the starting XV when the Springboks battle the All Blacks on 6 August.
An overwhelming 77% of readers decided that Arendse must start at right wing against New Zealand in Nelspruit, with Kolbe expected to miss both home Tests against the Kiwis after being ruled out for up to eight weeks with a broken jaw.
Jacques Nienaber is understood to be considering three players to take Kolbe’s place for the Rugby Championship opener, but Arendse’s performance in his debut against Wales has reportedly made him a strong contender for the No 14 jersey ahead of Jesse Kriel and Warrick Gelant, who garnered only 13% and 6% of the readers’ vote, respectively.
