Frédéric Michalak will captain the French Barbarians against South Africa A at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday.
The 34-year-old flyhalf, who has 77 Test caps, played for the Sharks in 2008 and again from 2011-2012. He forms a halfback pairing with Bordeaux-Bègles scrumhalf Yann Lesgourgues.
Former France fullback Clément Poitrenaud, who is currently contracted to the Sharks, has been named on the bench.
