The Stormers have reportedly agreed new deals with two key players, but have not succeeded in convincing Warrick Gelant to stay beyond June.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, both Herschel Jantjies and Salmaan Moerat have decided to extend their stay in Cape Town.
Springbok scrumhalf Jantjies has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Stormers until 2025. In 2020, he put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension. Jantjies has represented the Stormers for the majority of his professional career, having come through the Western Province youth structures.
Another product of the Cape, lock and co-captain Moerat, has also decided to stay despite being targeted by overseas clubs.
However, the Stormers will reportedly lose Gelant to Racing 92 at the end of the current season in June.
SARugbymag.co.za understands that the Parisian club offered him a salary in the region of €450,000 (R7.7 million) per season.
