The Vodacom United Rugby Championship Grand Final between the Stormers and the Vodacom Bulls will be played in front of a maximum allowed capacity crowd of 31 000 after tickets sold out on Thursday.
The last 6000 tickets for the showpiece match between the two traditional rivals sold within two hours on Thursday.
Fans had hoped that government would further relax ongoing lockdown measures to allow for 100% capacity, up from the current 50% attendance for the match.
Former Springbok prop and current Cape Town deputy mayor Eddie Andrews had written a letter to president Cyril Ramaphosa requesting for the stadium to be opened to full capacity.
However, with no confirmation of any regulation amendments by Thursday evening, the Stormers announced that tickets have officially been sold out.
