Mzwandile Stick looks set to be appointed as head coach of the EP Kings in the Currie Cup.
EP will play in the Currie Cup First Division this year, and while they are yet to announce a coach, Stick is said to be the front-runner according to Netwerk24.
Stick was a Springbok assistant coach last year, but after the Boks' horrible season the 32-year-old came under fire, with many believing he was out of his depth.
Stick recently vacated that position to join the Junior Boks' coaching staff ahead of the U20 Championship in Georgia later this year.
Stick could now take charge of the Kings in the Currie Cup in an attempt to gain experience and enhance his coaching ability to improve his chances of working at international level again in future.
If Stick's appointment materialises, Robbie Kempson will be asked to stand in as interim coach during the SuperSport Rugby Challenge, while Stick will be away with the Junior Boks.
