Skosan’s move away from Ellis Park was confirmed by the Lions via the union’s social media platforms.
The 30-year-old played for the Lions for eight years, from 2014, and was part of the squad which advanced to three Super Rugby finals.
He also won 12 caps with the Springboks in 2017.
It has not yet been confirmed for which team he will turn out in future.
