The Six Nations will get an in-depth behind-the-scenes documentary on popular streaming platform Netflix in 2023, with talks reportedly at an advanced stage.
The series is set to be rugby’s attempt to replicate the success of Drive to Survive, a docu-series that follows Formula One’s drivers, managers and team owners which has increased the motorsport’s popularity since it first aired in 2019.
According to the Daily Mail, chief executives from the Six Nations unions have given their support to allow filming in the team camps next year.
Recent meetings have also been held between Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff and driver George Russell and Six Nations players and coaches, to discuss the positive impact a Netflix series as had on increasing F1’s appeal.
A deal between Netflix and the Six Nations in expected to be announced early next year.
