In a poll run after the final whistle, 79% decided that the crafty centre was the best on the park for the green and gold, as the Springboks slumped to a disappointing defeat in Johannesburg.
Am, who shifted to the wing in the first half after Jesse Kriel suffered an early concussion, scored a brilliant try and made a grand total of 137 metres.

He was the clear favourite among the fans, with next-favourite Damian Willemse getting 6% and Malcolm Marx 2%. Both Willemse and Marx played a crucial role in the Springboks’ second try, scored by Makazole Mapimpi.
