Seabelo Senatla has confirmed he will be back on the sevens circuit in the near future despite his imminent departure to the Stormers for the upcoming Super Rugby tournament.
Senatla surpassed Fabian Juries as the most prolific try-scorer in Blitzboks history when he scored his 180th try just before the break in the final against Fiji on Sunday.
The 23-year-old, who was named Man of the Match, says it was a pleasure to be part of the sevens rugby culture.
‘I am going to miss sevens for a while but I will be coming back next season,’ said Senatla. ‘It is an incredible vibe and atmosphere. It’s beautiful to be a part of.’
He hinted that while breaking Juries’s record was special for him, the main goal within the Blitzboks team is always to play for each other.
‘We have a great bond, the players play for each other. We have one big happy family, and we put our bodies on the line for each other,’ he said.
