Grey College beat Paarl Boys’ High on Saturday and Wynberg Boys routed Boland Landbou in a shootout on another weekend of thrilling First XV schools rugby.

Grey College scored three second-half tries to come from behind in a hard-fought 21-12 win over Boishaai in Bloemfontein.

Meanwhile, Wynberg made it two wins in as many matches after an eye-catching 61-40 victory over Landbou.

On a historic day in Gqeberha, Grey High beat Queen’s College 28-13 to mark the naming of the main rugby field after Springbok captain Siya Kolisi.

In other notable results, Paul Roos defeated SACS in a tightly contested 20-12 win, while Winelands neighbours Paarl Gimnasium demolished Rondebosch Boys 52-12.

In Durban, Kearsney edged St Charles 22-19, as Durban High claimed bragging rights over Michaelhouse with a 23-14 triumph.

Glenwood sneaked home in a 23-22 win over Maritzburg, Hilton College trumped Pretoria Boys 22-7, while Affies bagged a satisfying 19-13 victory over KES.
