This weekend of schools rugby features the return of the Wildeklawer Festival, while Selborne College will celebrate its 150th year with a two-day festival.
Most of the big schools – including Affies, the Paarl schools, Paul Roos and Grey College – will be in action at the Wildeklawer Festival in Kimberley. The 1st XV games will get under way with a match between Oakdale and Affies at 7pm on Friday night.
There are plenty of games to look forward to, as Paarl Boys’ High face Maritzburg and Monument, Paul Roos are up against Glenwood and Garsfontein, while Grey College will take on Boland Landbou and Paarl Gim.
All fixtures will be broadcast live on SuperSport Schools.
Meanwhile, the big schools in the Eastern Cape – including Grey High, St Andrew’s and Dale – will take part in Selborne’s 150th Jubilee. Cape schools Rondebosch and SACS and St John’s from Johannesburg will also make the trip to play in East London.
Outside the two festivals, the biggest game will be Parktown Boys hosting KES on Saturday.
