– Andre Esterhuizen joins the Springboks’ end-of-year tour camp on a high after Harlequins edged London Irish 26-24 on Saturday. Fellow Bok Wilco Louw, Irne Herbst and Simon Kerrod also contributed to the win, while Mike Willemse and Benhard Janse van Rensburg went home empty-handed.

– Speedster Madosh Tambwe crossed the whitewash for his third try in two matches in a nail-biting 27-26 win for Bordeaux Begles over Bok dynamo Cheslin Kolbe and his Toulon teammates on Sunday.

– And on Saturday, fullback Tristan Tedder scored a try and kicked 13 points in a 28-21 triumph for Perpignan over Lyon, but it was a second loss on the trot for Dillyn Leyds and Raymond Rhule with La Rochelle in a 38-21 outcome with Paloise, although the former bagged a five-pointer.
– Warrick Gelant and Trevor Nyakane, who again both played off the bench, watched a Finn Russell masterclass as Racing 92 got the better of Brive 43-38.

– Bayonnais No 8 Uzair Cassiem was on the right side of a 26-22 result against Toulouse, but Jeremy Ward had a disappointing start at outside centre for Stade Francais against World Cup-winning halfback Cobus Reinach in a 23-19 defeat by Montpellier.
