SA Rugby is top of the world!

SARugbymag.co.za is officially ranked the world’s No 1 digital rugby platform in the month that the iconic South African legacy brand will also celebrate its 300th print edition.

“As a proud Welshman turned South African who is a rugby fanatic, I couldn’t be prouder of the team,” said Highbury Media chief Kevin Ferguson.

It is truly a team effort as the endeavours of staff in sales and editorial have complemented each other in contributing to sustained growth.

The audience on the digital platform has expanded from a monthly average of 2.7 million page views in 2021 to closing in on 4 million in 2022.

In the past 12 months, the site had 8.4m Users, 36m Page Views and the Facebook page has a reach of 91m.

SA Rugby magazine was launched in 1995, current Stormers coach John Dobson served as the editor for the first four years and Ferguson acquired the title in 2001.

“SA Rugby magazine is the best title I have bought to date!” added Ferguson.

The only rugby print magazine in the country, it remains a unique and integral part of the game’s media fabric.

To everyone involved in achieving this success, thank you and well done!
