SARugbymag.co.za readers had their say and Manie Libbok was the man voted to don the No 10 jersey in two midweek matches on the Springboks’ looming year-end tour.
Libbok established a significant early lead between himself and his challengers in the poll, and then held off growing competition from Vodacom Bulls flyhalf Johan Goosen to claim 40% of the vote.

The list also included the likes of Chris Smith at the Bulls, the Emirates Lions’ Gianni Lombard and Jordan Hendrikse as well as Sale Sharks’ Robert du Preez.
As part of the Boks’ end-of-year tour to Europe, the SA Select XV will play midweek matches against Bristol Bears and Munster, presenting an opportunity to players who are on the fringes of Springbok selection to prove themselves worthy of a regular place in the Test squad.

Munster will be facing an SA touring team for the first time in the professional era, with the two teams’ previous meeting taking place in 1970. The two sides have only faced off three times, with the South Africans coming out on top each time.
