Rassie Erasmus has responded to calls from Eddie Jones for World Rugby to take swift action against the Springbok director of rugby.
Earlier this week, the England coach demanded a quick conclusion to the disciplinary action launched by World Rugby against Erasmus after the latter produced a video criticising Australian referee Nic Berry for his officiating in the first Test of the 2021 British & Irish Lions tour of South Africa in July.
Having engaged in a social media duel with former England and Lions coach Clive Woodward, Erasmus took to Twitter on Thursday night in response to Jones.
Good man!! Great coach!! 99% correct on everything !! 1% = what if the video was not leaked by Rassie ? https://t.co/C7Mw5VkQIt

Erasmus’ position is that he did not leak the video which was intended to be sent to World Rugby, as he has reportedly done before, and which is the view also asserted by his legal representatives.
The SA Rugby director of rugby defended this point in his message to Jones, who he called a “good man” and “great coach”.
