Rassie Erasmus has been drawn to comment on the saga involving Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies.
Jantjies was on Sunday sent home from the Springboks’ base in Argentina to attend to “personal reports” amid accusations of inappropriate behaviour.
According to an article in Afrikaans weekly Rapport, the 46-Test Springbok flyhalf allegedly spent a romantic and tumultuous night with the Springboks’ team dietician.
After being tagged in a social media post by former Springbok Rob Louw, which made light of the situation, Erasmus responded and gave his view on the saga.
“I have obviously been guilty of making comments/fun of stuff like this in the past! When I see the suffering & damage to innocent children & parents involved I tend to think twice before I comment (just respect for the families),” Erasmus said in a post on Twitter.

Rob you tagged me, so I guess you want a response. I have obviously been guilty of making comments/fun of stuff like this in the past! When I see the suffering & damage to innocent children & parents involved I tend to think twice before I comment (just respect for the families). https://t.co/MeXSXJo7C1
