Ruan Pienaar scored 17 points in Ulster's 27-16 European Cup win over Montpellier.
The Springbok scrumhalf crossed the tryline and kicked three conversions and two penalties. He could have had more but was held up over the line after charging down a clearance and brilliantly picking up; only to be denied by an enveloping tackle.
South African flank Robbie Diack also scored a try for the Irish club, who will be disappointed not to have come away with a bonus point.
In Friday night's other match, the Scarlets shocked Racing Métro 19-13 in Colombes, with flyhalf Rhys Priestland kicking two penalties and converting winger Kristian Phillips' solo try.
