SA Rugby has reportedly failed to sway the Vodacom United Rugby Championship decision-makers over securing the match points for two postponed matches in November.
The Glasgow Warriors and Ulster withdrew from URC fixtures against the Lions and Sharks, respectively, in the Republic citing illness in both touring camps and according to Sunday newspaper Rapport, SA Rugby wanted to claim the points for those games for the SA teams.

However, it is understood this won’t happen and the matches will be played at a later date, with the article suggesting 25 February as the most likely available rescheduling.
Meanwhile, Rapport also claims that, due to player workload management for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the Sharks and Stormers will be without their Springboks in URC derbies scheduled for February – against one another and then against the Lions and Bulls, respectively.
