Jules Plisson will start at flyhalf for France against the Springboks at Loftus on Saturday.
France coach Guy Novès has made 11 changes to the team that last played in the Six Nations. Only Brice Dulin, Gaël Fickou, Virimi Vakatawa and Louis Picamoles remain from that win over Wales.

Up front, Loann Goujon and Yacouba Camara join Picamoles in the loose trio, while Yoann Maestri and Julien le Devedec form a new second-row partnership.
There is also a new front row, consisting of props Uini Atonio and Jefferson Poirot, and hooker Clément Maynadier.
