Cheetahs captain Oupa Mohoje has been ruled out of action for nine months after suffering a serious knee injury against Munster last Saturday.

The Cheetahs confirmed on Wednesday that Mohoje had suffered an ACL tear in his right knee, which saw him stretchered off the field in the 14th minute of the team’s Pro14 opener.

Gerhard Olivier has now joined the team in Swansea ahead of Saturday’s clash against the Ospreys.
