Michaelhouse ran in six tries on their way to an emphatic 47-7 win over Kearsney in Durban on Saturday.
House raced to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter with converted tries from Bader Pretorius and Bradley Roberts and a Pretorius penalty.
Right before half-time, the momentum shifted as Kearsney piled on the pressure. They won a penalty, but failed to convert the kick at goal heading into the break.
Kearsney made two costly errors at the start of the second stanza, failing to collect the kick-offs, as first Mike Tatham capitalised to go in under the poles before Robert Lee punished them in a similar move, only this time he went over in the corner. Bader slotted both conversions, stretching their lead to 31-0.
A converted score for the visitors sandwiched between two more for Michaelhouse followed, with Pretorius nailing another conversion in the final act of the game to maintain his 100% record with the boot.
