Try-scoring machine Makazole Mapimpi looks set to anchor the Sharks backline for the remainder of his career.
The Springbok finisher has agreed to an extension that will keep him in Durban until 2025, when he turns 35.

Mapimpi has made 44 appearances and scored 20 tries for the Sharks since joining from the Cheetahs in 2018.

The Sharks have been in a signing frenzy over the past week, extending the services of scrumhalf Grant Williams, locks Reniel Hugo and Emile van Heerden, along with fullback Anthony Volmink and prop Dian Bleuler, to go with several big-name signings for next season.
Among them are experienced flyhalf Lionel Cronje and Springbok centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg.
