One-cap Springbok Bandise Maku has officially announced his retirement.

Maku featured off the bench for the Boks against Italy in 2010, while he also featured in three end-of-year tour games between 2009 and 2010.

The 30-year-old played the majority of his domestic rugby at the Bulls, but also spent time at the Lions and Kings.
