Lozowski makes England cut

Eddie Jones has included three uncapped players in England's 34-man squad for the upcoming Six Nations tournament.

Utility back Alex Lozowski, who has been playing back-up to flyhalf Owen Farrell and fullback Alex Goode at Saracens, earned a call-up to the national team, alongside loose forward Mike Williams and prop Nathan Catt.

Meanwhile, James Haskell, Maro Itoje, Anthony Watson, Jack Clifford and Jack Nowell have all returned to the squad following their unavailability due to injury during the November Tests in 2016.

'I’ve been impressed with the three uncapped players named in the squad. They’re all guys who have great physical capabilities and they all have a desire to improve,' said Jones.

The coach also confirmed the addition of South African visual awareness coach, Dr Sherylle Calder, to his backroom staff.

'She has won two gold medals, 2003 with England and 2007 with South Africa, I used her extensively when I coached in Japan and had success with her then. I think she is really going to add an edge to the players’ preparation,' Jones explained.
