Springbok lock Marvin Orie is expected to be fit in time for the Golden Lions’ match against Free State in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Orie and hooker Corné Fourie sustained concussions in their side’s 38-35 win over the Blue Bulls in Pretoria last week, but are expected to be cleared for selection for the game at Ellis Park.

The Lions confirmed tighthead prop Johannes Jonker is the only other injury concern.

He is experiencing weakness in his left arm from a stinger suffered against the Bulls and will undergo a fitness test on Thursday to determine his availability for selection.
