The EPCR has officially confirmed that the Lions will be playing against the Dragons in a reduced Pool B in the Challenge Cup following the collapse of Worcester Warriors.
The Lions had been placed in a 10-team Pool B and were set to face English side Worcester Warriors in home-and-away fixtures in the opening and final round of pool matches.
However, the financial collapse of both Worcester and fellow English club Wasps means that neither club will be able to take part in the 2022-23 season.
Instead of finding teams to replace the Premiership clubs, the EPCR has made the decision to reduce Pool B to eight teams and rearrange the fixtures.
This means that the Lions will instead host Dragons in round one on Saturday, 10 December and will travel to Wales for the reverse fixture in round four on Sunday, 22 January.
