Robbie Henshaw and George North have been ruled out for the remainder of the British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.

The duo were injured during the Lions' game against the Hurricanes in Wellington on Tuesday, with Henshaw sustaining a torn pectoral muscle and North picking up a hamstring tear.

They will return home from New Zealand this weekend, but it is unclear whether coach Warren Gatland will call up any replacements to the squad.

The Lions lost the first of three Tests against the All Blacks 30-15, with the second game to be played in Wellington on Saturday.
