Springbok prop CJ van der Linde will play for the EP Kings in this season's Currie Cup Premier Division.
Van der Linde, who has won 75 caps for the national team, has been signed on a short-term contract that will take him through to the end of this season.
Having previously played for the Cheetahs, Lions and Western Province, he will bring a wealth of experience to the team who will be making their first appearance in the new expanded competition.
He might be expected to partner Edgar Marutlulle in a new-look front row, after the hooker signed on until the end of the 2015 season.
Marutlulle represented the Kings at Super Rugby level last season before returning to the Leopards for the Currie Cup campaign.
