Centre Jonathan Davies has been left out of the Wales squad for Saturday’s season finale against the Wallabies, while wing Josh Adams has been fast-tracked into the starting XV.
Davies – a 99-Test cap veteran – started the end-of-year Tests as Wales captain and after he was rested for their match against Fiji last week, the centre has failed to win a place in the side for this week’s clash with Australia as Willis Halaholo as been selected to parter Nick Tompkins in midfield.
Josh Adams is named on the left wing for the final Test of the year after pulling out with a calf injury ahead of kick-off last week. He’s joined in the back three by try-scoring speedster Louis Rees-Zammit and fullback Liam Williams.
Hooker Ryan Elias remains the only constant in the front row with props Wyn Jones and Tomas Francis returning to the starting lineup. Elias is one of only three players to start all four of Wales’ Autumn Nations series Tests, alongside Adam Beard and Taine Basham.
Seb Davies gets his first start of the campaign as he partners Beard in the second row. Ellis Jenkins will lead the side from the flank with Basham and Aaron Wainwright completing the loose trio.
