Tony Jantjies will start at flyhalf for the Bulls against the Sharks at Kings Park on Friday.
The side, named by coach Nollis Marais, also include two rookies, with wing Kefentse Mahlo and prop Conraad van Vuuren set to make their Super Rugby debut.
Mahlo will complete the back three alongside fullback Warrick Gelant and wing Duncan Matthews; Bok duo Jan Serfontein and Jesse Kriel are the preferred centre pairing, and Jantjies will form the halfback-axis with scrumhalf Rudy Paige.
Nic de Jager will play No 8, with Jannes Kirsten and Ruan Steenkamp as the flanks. In the second row, RG Snyman and Jason Jenkins are the locks; and in the front row Van Vuuren will scrum down next to hooker Adriaan Strauss and loosehead prop Pierre Schoeman.
