Brent Janse van Rensburg has resigned from his post as Boland Cavaliers head coach.
Janse van Rensburg's resignation comes less than a week after director of rugby Alan Zondagh quit the union due to alleged interference.
The 36-year-old Janse van Rensburg, who was appointed in January, fell short of citing the same reason for his departure, saying in a statement that it has been wonderful to be part of the team this year.
'I am incredibly proud of this group of players, the efforts they gave and also very thankful to our management team for their time invested in this side,' Janse van Rensburg said.
'It has been a memorable year that has certainly contributed towards my growth and I wish everyone involved with Boland Rugby the best.'
Boland won just two of their Currie Cup matches this season.
