On the eve of the showdown against the Springboks in Dublin on Saturday, hosts Ireland have suffered an injury withdrawal.
TEST PICKS: Boks to go down in Dublin
Ireland confirmed on Friday afternoon that experienced centre Robbie Henshaw was forced out of Saturday’s Test against the Boks due to injury.
Henshaw, who was part of the British & Irish Lions team that faced South Africa in last year’s three-Test series, will be replaced in the starting XV by Ulster midfielder Stuart McCloskey.
Taking McCloskey’s place on the bench will be Jimmy O’Brien, who was originally set to start on the right wing for Ireland ‘A’ in Friday night’s game against the All Blacks XV.
