SA U20 assistant coach Mzwandile Stick has confirmed they are sweating over the fitness of several players.
The Junior Boks scored a stoppage-time try to salvage a 23-23 draw in a bruising encounter against France on Wednesday.
Stick said the nature of the match led to several injuries.
'Nama Xaba [flank] was limping during the game and Rewan Kruger [scrumhalf] suffered a hamstring injury, while a few others are also nursing bumps and bruises,' he said.
'We will have to wait for our medical team to provide clarity on the seriousness of the injuries.'
Stick added that while the fit players had a morning gym session on Thursday, the management team had intensively reviewed the opening game.
'The French played well, and their forwards and halfbacks in particular adapted well to the wet conditions. But I have to compliment Curwin Bosch and Manie Libbok for getting us in the right places in terms of territory, of which he had 56%, but didn't convert into points. We couldn't get the ball to the wider channels; we tried to do it a few times, but lost the ball.
'That are the things we need to improve on. So we will certainly look to tighten the screws in the next few days.'
The Junior Boks' next game is against hosts Georgia on Sunday.
