Rosko Specman is expected to make his debut for Griquas against Nambia in Windhoek next month.
The former Blitzbok and one-cap Springbok wing will join the Kimberley-based union when his contract with the Free State Cheetahs expires at the end of October.
Griquas will take a group of 27 players to Windhoek for the match on 5 November.
They will, however, be without several players due to injury.
Netwerk24 reports that prop Andries Schutte and lock Derik Pretorius should be back in December, prop Andrew Beerwinkel, utility back Malcolm Jaer and loose forward Werner Gouws in January, and loose forward Hanru Sirgel by the end of March.
Two ex-Griquas players, lock Johan Retief and flank Janco Venter, are set to play in the match for Namibia.
