Johan Goosen kicked a 55m drop goal during his Top 14 debut for Racing Métro against Montpellier on Saturday.

Goosen, who came on to the left wing as a substitute in the 41st minute, struck early in the second half, although his kick appeared to dip under the crossbar.

Racing won the match 19-16 with both sides scoring a try. Robert Ebersohn had a hand in Montpellier's when he showed quick feet to beat two men before feeding the ball to Timoci Nagusa who sprinted over.

Meanwhile, Gio Aplon's Top 14 debut for Grenoble ended in a 30-26 defeat at Clermont. The hosts scored three tries to two.
