SA-born Oli Kebble and Kyle Steyn retain their spots for Glasgow Warriors as coach Danny Wilson makes several changes for Friday night’s clash with the Stormers.
Ali Price will lead Glasgow, with regular skipper Ryan Wilson ruled out, as part of a starting XV showing five changes for the URC match from Friday’s victory over Newcastle Falcons in the Challenge Cup.
Loosehead prop Kebble – who takes on his former team for the first time – is joined by British & Lions tighthead Zander Fagerson for a new-look front row with Johnny Matthews.
No 11 Steyn, who was named Man of the Match after scoring two tries against Newcastle, will line up in the back three with Ollie Smith – in for the injured Sebastian Cancelliere – with Josh McKay shifting to right wing.
Kiran McDonald comes into the second row for the injured Scott Cummings, with the league leader in lineout steals, Richie Gray, continuing in the engine room. Rory Darge is the only survivor from the back row that started against Newcastle, as Ally Miller and Jack Dempsey complete the loose trio.
“After a strong showing against Newcastle last weekend, we’re looking forward to another challenging test against the Stormers,” said Wilson. “With four players returning to the squad, we know we’ll need to be at our best against a strong Stormers team.
“Despite having a limited training week, due to travel, the boys are fresh and looking forward to taking them on in Cape Town.”
