The Blitzboks scored four tries to beat France in their final group stage match, winning Pool A to set up a Cup quarter-final clash against Great Britain.
A dominant display that included a brace from speedster Shilton van Wyk secured a 26-7 victory for the Blitzboks against France on Saturday.
Muller du Plessis opened the scoring for the Blitzboks, but France hit back through Stephen Parez Edo Martin, who was later sin-binned for a deliberate tap-down.

The Blitzboks made the numerical advantage count as Dalvon Blood finished a superb team try to secure a 12-7 lead heading into the break.
But it was the Shilton van Wyk show in the second half as he displayed great pace to score two scintillating tries that saw the Blitzboks claim a 26-7 victory over France to finish atop Pool A.
The Blitzboks will play Great Britain at 9pm in their Cup quarter-final showdown.
