England coach Eddie Jones has named a 33-man squad for their first World Cup warm-up against Wales at Twickenham on Sunday.
With no new players added to the squad following England’s 12-day training camp in Treviso, fullback Mike Brown, rookie forward Alex Dombrandt, scrumhalf Ben Spencer and centre Ben Te’o have not been included in the latest squad.
Gloucester flyhalf Danny Cipriani has once again been excluded after also being left out of the training camp in Italy.
The uncapped duo of flank Lewis Ludlamand and wing Ruaridh McConnochie could make their Test debuts after being named in the squad. Former Crusaders scrumhalf Willi Heinz is also in line for a surprise first cap after being included in the place of Spencer.
In addition, Exeter Chiefs back Jack Nowell will continue his injury rehabilitation in camp.
England will face Wales again in Cardiff on 17 August, before fixtures against Ireland (24 August) at Twickenham and Italy (6 September) in Newcastle conclude their World Cup preparations.
Jones’ charges begin their World Cup campaign against Tonga in Sapporo on 22 September.
