Elton Jantjies was “happy” to announce his arrival in France as the Springbok flyhalf looks to revive his career at Pro D2 side Agen after a troubled 2022.
Jantjies signed a deal with the French second division outfit, having not played in official competition since 27 August after reports of an extramarital affair and a stint in rehab.
On Tuesday, the 32-year-old posted a video on Instagram announcing his arrival at Agen, the club also posting pictures and videos of Jantjies on Twitter.
“I’ve just arrived at Agen and I’m really looking forward to joining the club,” he said.
“I’m very happy to be here and for the opportunity. I hope to see you soon on the field.”

In September, the veteran playmaker was sent home from the Bok tour in Argentina after media reports emerged about an alleged affair with team dietician Zeenat Simjee.
Last month, Jantjies denied reports he had spent time in a drugs rehabilitation clinic but admitted he had instead checked into a rehab centre in Cape Town to treat insomnia.
