Western Province loose forward Rynhardt Elstadt has received a three-week ban for an illegal entry into a ruck during the victory over the EP Kings.
The combative forward received a yellow card for the incident, which occurred in the 57th minute of the match, shortly after his arrival on the pitch.
Elstadt was found guilty of contravening law 10.4 (h) which states that a player must not charge into a ruck or maul without the use of the arms or without grasping a player.
After taking all mitigating circumstances into account, judicial officer, advocate Rob Stelzner deemed the incident as a mid-range offence and has subsequently banned Elstadt for three weeks.
In addition to this weekend's match against the Golden Lions, Elstadt will now miss the home match against Griquas and the away Pumas game in Nelspruit, before returning for the trip to Bloemfontein to face the Cheetahs.
