Two of three former Cheetahs front rankers have been included in Edinburgh’s 32-man squad for their two-match tour of South Africa in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
Tighthead prop WP Nel has been rested following Scotland’s Six Nations campaign, but fellow ex-Free Staters Luan de Bruin and Boan Venter will make the trip.
Pierre Schoeman, who previously played for the Vodacom Bulls, has also been selected, and he is one of four Scots in the tour group to return from Six Nations duty.
Edinburgh will face the Sharks in Durban on Saturday, before taking on the Lions at Ellis Park next week.
